Utopi

Sometimes I get to work with the most amazing clients. Kolik Förlag is one of them. They publish some really awesome books and a magazine called Utopi.
We’ve done some portraits before of some of their authors. Always a pleasure.
This time I had the opportunity to see Lisa Medins studio and her work flow.
I was so happy yesterday receiving the email with the article from the art director, i feel that my photos really belong there in these spreads.
Like if they were my kids that just moved from home and you knew they were doing good and were happy.

And Steve deserves as always a big thank you for lots of the retouch work.

Boy, man, mother

Next to our hotel there was a construction site. Our cab driver told us the hotel that was supposed to be built had been canceled due to the financial crises which affected the tourism.
We became good friends with the driver, Hussein, who took us around town pointing out different hotels; the scandinavian hotel, the newest, oldest, best-food-hotel, most beautiful hotel.
He barely charged us for sightseeing, mainly because we all seemed to have a great time. Perhaps also because he was proud, and worried about where all the tourists went.

He tagged me in a photo of a camel yesterday on Facebook. I miss him too.

Island / Ö

It’s getting warmer outside. Just the kind of weather you barely need a jacket for. Our balcony is headed south which gives us sunshine from morning til late afternoon.
Even if I’ve longed for this day to arrive I find myself amazed that I have missed it even more than I thought.
You get used to sunshine and warm days, but never to stepping out in a cold grey winter day.

There is suddenly a scent when you step outside. Everything is getting back to life, or is born.
It’s lovely, isn’t it.

My sister in 2012 at Lill-Finn, an island in the archipelago outside Stockholm.

Air

I’ve always found whatever involves flying to be fascinating. It might be one of few things that still amaze me as much as when I was a kid.
I remember dreaming about being a pilot, running around with a toy plane in our backyard.

Tim

Me & Steve are starting up a live session thing we’ve named Forest Sessions, which will include acts of all kind that will take place in a forest. First out we have my old dear friend Tim Koch who’s one-man-band What About Mallard did a few tracks. The video will not be up for a month, we are setting up the new website and lots around that and future acts that needs be fixed first, but til then; have a listen on his website, its worth the extra clicks. HERE YOU GO. (my favourite is Spikes)

Linn

Linn is my lovely friend who appears a little bit of everywhere in my portfolio. Nowadays she lives down the road and claims she can see our balcony from hers with a binoculars.

Eli

I really feel something beautiful has been going on with my photography the last few months. Don’t know what though but it’s a great feeling to finally have found something that I’ve been longing for, maybe its a style that I feel comfortable with. I finally feel that I know what i want to do with my photography, and how i want to do it.

This year will definitely be a year of portraits.

Dragon Dolls

Went to Uppsala yesterday morning to shoot some new pictures for Dragon Dolls (check them out on Spotify),
Windy and cold, felt like being in Gothenburg in november. After a few days of what felt like spring, its amazing how fast you forget the winter.

Bibliotek

Went to see Karin-Maria Jönssons fantastic paintings (some pictures from that is coming up in a while as well) at the library.
Starting off with a interior picture of the library where the exhibition was at. Her paintings are way more fantastic than the architecture but it was just the order I took the images -> edited them -> ended up here. You should really check out her work at karinmariajonsson.se its incredible. I’ll be back with some more photos.

Idrottsbladet

Twice a year I get the chance to work as art director, photography editor and photographer. A great playground in other words.
In this issue my photos can be seen on the front page, the articles about Stefan and Oskar. Steven Warburton is the person behind the awesome whole spread picture with the typical english touch.
The editor thingy is something I would love to work more with and if someone reading this has a open spot at a magazine or internship, i would lööööv to get in touch.

2012, Blaiken. Went to film and take some photos for the Winterwind 2013 conference of STV, who
makes terrain vehicles that can pass through pretty much anything which is a nice attribute if you
have a park with wind turbines that needs maintenance during wintertime . It was magical,
-27 C (-16.6 F) and the first sunny day in a long time. Except our presence it was completely silent.
A absolutely fantastic day.

Tillbaka i hemmet

stockholm

Christmas is long gone and my weeks on the road has come to an end for a while.
I’m back in Stockholm and the snow is falling down and its beautiful.

New website

grafiskprofil3

So fascinating times! This is my new website and blog, designed by Moa Nordahl and created by Per Hård af Segerstad.
It’s a part of my new graphic profile that I will show in its full edition in a few days as soon as i get this task running smoothly.
So I start of by showing my new stamp with my own name on it, never thought  I would have one of those. It’s awesome.

The portfolio will be improved the upcoming days and hopefully everything will run smoothly.

A big thanks to my dear friend Moa Nordahl for your fantastic design and to my dear friend Per for your hard work making her visions come to life.

So everyone, welcome again to a new era.
